Alex Kritzer began his coaching career at the young age of 18 years old. He has coached teams in the tri state area since 2009 including Hudson Valley Hurricanes, Diesel Baseball, Rockland Reds, New York Nine, and Rockland Pirates.
He is currently the head coach of the RBI Red Storm 11u Travel Baseball Team.
While with the Rockland Pirates Alex was a part of a program that produced back to back NYS American Legion champions having earned bids to the regional tournament. He has seen a large handful of the players he has coached to move onto elite college programs and professional teams.
Prior to becoming a coach he was a 3 sport athlete (Football, Indoor T&F, Baseball) for Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack, NY. While at Clarkstown South he won back to back Northeast Elite Tournament Championships. This tournament brought the best teams from the tri-state together for a highly scouted tournament. Teams included George Washington HS, James Monroe HS, St. Josephs of Montvale, NJ, Grand Street HS, and Tottenville HS.
After graduating from Clarkstown South he would move on to play Division III Baseball at SUNY Plattsburgh. After redshirting his freshman year due to a shoulder injury he would play for 3 years that included the 2010 season in which SUNY Plattsburgh would have its first nationally ranked team.
This team would go on to break or tie 35 team records. During the 2012 season he was named captain and would lead his team back to the SUNYAC playoffs after missing them in 2011. In the spring of 2012 he would graduate with a B.S. in Marketing from SUNY Plattsburgh.
